We made a brief stop in Ashton, Idaho based on a recommendation from our friend, Stephanie, and it did not disappoint (thanks, Stephanie!). The Mesa Falls are beautiful and are part of the the fabled Henry’s Fork River, one of the country’s most popular blue ribbon trout fisheries. We were able to grab a campsite on the river at Warm River Campground, not far from the falls. What a great location to swim out of our back yard and to grill buffalo wings on the Traeger! And by the way, the river was freezing, so we are not sure where the name originates. We popped the bottle of champagne that we had been saving and had a great time hanging out in our beach chairs along with our “van down by the river”.
